Craig Airport Expansion: The Opposition Continues

The fight continues to prevent expansion of the runways at Craig Field.
The Great Arlington Community Council (GACC) is the leader and organizer for stopping any extension of the runways.  As part of GACC, another non-profit made up of the same people is called Craig Community Covenant (CCC) which is the administrative and financial end to prevent the runway extension.
Now a lawsuit has been filed by the two fixed-base operators at Craig, Craig Air Center and Sky Harbor, to force the city to allow an extension of the runway. The Greater Arlington Civic Council, through its subcommittee Craig Community Covenant, has once again hired Mr. Bobek. We received an email today from GACC's pres. Lad Hawkins that at the June first court hearing the judge denied our request for intervener status but granted us amicus status. Lad said "We will be included in all actions and will be able to prepare our own briefs and review all city work. Barry will be in the loop. We also could be awarded Intervener status at a later date if the judge is convinced that it is warranted."
Craig Community Covenant is once again conducting a fund-raising appeal because we do not think we can trust the city to put up much of a defense. I'm sure you will recall that the mayor wanted a runway extension.
If any of you can help by making a contribution of any amount $1.00 on up will make this happen. Donations can be made by....
